Handover test
Five checks before the installer leaves, the installation record, and what to do when a check fails.
An installation is finished when the tracker is proven to work in LemursEye, not when the panels are back on. Run these checks with the fleet owner, or on the phone with LemursEye, before you leave the vehicle.
Register the tracker
If it is not registered yet: in the console, Fleet, add the tracker by its IMEI (15 digits on its label or box), choose its protocol, and assign it to the vehicle by plate.
The five checks

The installation record
Fill one per vehicle and give it to the fleet owner. It is what anyone needs to find, service or replace the tracker later.

When a check fails
| Problem | Most likely cause | Fix |

| Tracker never comes online | SIM has no data or credit; wrong APN; wrong server or port | Check the SIM in a phone; re-send the APN and server SMS (model's setup guide); check the IMEI and protocol in Fleet |
| Online, but in the wrong place or jumping around | GPS antenna blocked by metal, or upside down | Move it under plastic, antenna side up |
| Never shows Idling with the engine running | Ignition wire not connected, or on a dead line | Re-check with the multimeter: 0 V with the key out, 12/24 V with the key ON |
| Stays Idling after the engine is off | Ignition wire on a line that stays live (a constant line, or a delayed ACC line) | Move it to the ignition (ON) line |
| LEDs go off when the power is disconnected | Backup battery flat, or switched off in the tracker | Leave it powered for a few hours to charge, then repeat; check the model's settings |
