Rules and alerts
Exception-based by design: silence means all normal.
Every position is evaluated against the rules of its tenant. The engine speaks only when reality deviates, and once per deviation.
Rule types
| Type | Fires when |
|---|---|
speeding | Speed exceeds the rule's limit |
idle | Engine-on idle exceeds the rule's minutes |
after_hours | Movement outside the rule's working window |
geofence_entry / exit | A vehicle enters or leaves a geofence, with hysteresis so borders do not flap |
low_battery | The tracker's or phone's battery falls below the threshold |
sos | The panic button on the tracker or the driver's phone |
Rules have a severity (info, warning, critical), can be enabled and disabled, and carry parameters as JSON. Changes apply within a minute.
Cooldown
The same condition on the same vehicle raises one alert, not one per position: a per-vehicle cooldown in the live store suppresses repeats. SOS is never suppressed for long.
Where alerts go
The in-app alert centre and email today; the digest reads the same stream; webhooks and WhatsApp follow through the Integration Hub. Acknowledging an alert marks it handled without deleting it.
